RFramer works on all framing BIM projects developing wall framing models in most of them. Few projects need framer to develop ceiling framing details as well. By default MWF plugin develops gypsum framing with metal studs but it cannot develop ACT ceiling framing or CRC with Hat channel supported ceiling system. RFramer devised a work processed so ACT ceiling framing, CRC and Hat channel supported ceilings are also modeled as per client’s scope and requirement.
Ceiling framing is populated quickly compared to MWF working process. These members can be differentiated by using internal parameters or according to the material applied to the model. With minimum to least work, all ceiling framing members are populated for trade fields to coordinate and avoid clashes with. We can color code the elements also to identify the critical members, so only these clashes be flagged in coordination process and not worry about each and every clash members.
